Equip your Fishing Rod ACNH - Fishing Rod

1. Craft Fish Bait

To easily catch the fish you want, you'll need to craft fish bait! This will help attract more fish instead of just waiting for one to pop out!

2. Check Shadow Size

You'll need to check the shadow size of the fish that appeared and make sure it's similar to the Oarfish.

3. Go Fish!

Once you're sure the fish that appeared has the same shadow size as the fish you want, it's time to prepare your Fishing Rod and go fish!

Oarfish Additional Info

Dialogue When Caught

"I caught an oarfish! I hope I catch morefish!"

Dialogue When Donated to Blathers

The oarfish is a long, eel-like fish that can supposedly reach up to 36 feet in length. They appear in various legends as things like messengers of the gods.

It seems to me a creature like that could explain the myth of massive, ship-crushing sea serpents.

It is, of course, well documented that people tend to exaggerate the size of 'the one that got away.'
