Modules can be exchanged for Astrite, materials, and recipes at the Spacetrek Archive counter in Startorch Academy in Lahai-Roi. Some items are locked until you collect at least 4,000 Modules, and the counter will fully unlock after collecting 8,000 Modules.

Spacetrek Archive is found within the bounds of Startorch Academy in Lahai-Roi. The exact map location is denoted by a gift icon, so it is really easy to spot.

Arrive in Startorch Academy to Unlock
The only requirement for unlocking the Spacetrek Archive exchange is to arrive in Startorch Academy and unlock the first Resonance Nexus.
Rovers are expected to arrive in this place after the Chapter 3 Prologue Quest, When the Unknown Thrums.

Get and Spend Modules
Later rewards in the Spacetrek Archive requires you to own a certain number of Modules, specifically 4,000 and 8,000 modules. You can get Modules passively around Lahai-Roi, from opening treasure chests in the overworld and participating in activities all over the map.
Based on our observation, almost all activities provide a number of Modules.
