This guide will show you how to get Purple Tulips in Animal Crossing: New Horizons (ACNH). Read on to learn how to breed Purple Tulips and get more of them in your town!
Among tulips, Purple Tulips are one of the most difficult flower hybrids to make. Cross pollinating these can take a lot of time, even with time travelling.
Note: Tulips that are native to your island have random cross pollination patterns. The information given here will only cover flowers bought from a store.

The first step in making Purple Tulips is to gather up two Orange Tulips. Cross polinate Red and Yellow tulips to create Orange Hybrid Tulips. Use the two Orange Hybrid Tulips to make Purple Tulips.
Note that the tulips you use will need to have been bought from Nook's Cranny as seeds, as the ones growing natively on your island have random cross pollination patterns.

Even if you've fulfilled all the preconditions for Cross Pollination, Purple Tulips may not grow the very next day. If there are no new flowers, you'll simply have to continue watering them.
There is a chance that Purple Tulips might grow on Mystery Islands. Note that Mystery Islands can only ever give you one other type of flower, so you're not guaranteed to find Purple Tulips on them.
If you're struggling to get a specific flower type or hybrid color, trading with others online might be the quickest way to get them!
The easiest way to get Purple Tulips for sure is to clone the ones you have. To clone flowers, plant them somewhere where they aren't touching any other flowers of their type and water them every day. Eventually, they will make a copy of themselves in one of the empty spaces!
Once you get Purple Tulips to grow, you can repeat the process to get more. These flowers are used to make other hybrid flowers as well, so why not grow a lot while you're at it?
