In order to get the recipe for the Golden Slingshot, you will first need to shoot down 300 balloons from the sky. After doing so, you will see a golden balloon in the sky the next day. Shoot it down to get the recipe for the Golden Slingshot!

Note: We are still looking into whether or not there are any special effect.
Unlike previous games in the series where the golden slingshot would shoot three bullets at a time, the golden slingshot in New Horizons has no such effect.
Translation: “Oh no! The Golden Shovel broke! Guess I wore it out...”
Other golden tools in ACNH will break after extended use, so it is rather likely that this one will too. If it is like the other golden tools, it will break after 200 uses.

So I want to know if I will get a new chance at the recipe after losing the present if the game didn’t realize I lost it? I think it was a glitch but it hit the ground and disappeared and my character wasn’t shocked. What do I do if I never get the recipe now??
