Giraffe Stag Additional Info

Dialogue When Caught

I caught a giraffe stag! Does that make it a longhorn?

Dialogue When Donated to Blathers

The giraffe stag beetle is a bug of preposterous proportions.

Not only is its body rather large, it has two long, jagged jaws that can put it over five inches in size!

The giraffe stag beetle's long jaws have been compared to the long neck of the giraffe...hence the name.

But I say such comparisons are a stretch. Giraffe necks are NOT lined with spikes!

If I were a giraffe, I would protest.

So it's basically like with a scorpion. When their pincers are in the air you don't move. When they move down and relax momentarily, you move towards it. Pincers in air = stop. Pincers down = move towards it.

The trick to catching stags/cicadas is sneaking. As soon as you find the bug, try to get on the side of the tree and hold A. it doesn't matter if the entire net is in front of the bug (a good way to practice is to place an object and then drop something next to it. if your on the same space as the dropped object, that means you'd scare the bug)
