    At a certain point DIY recipes for fences will unlock and be in your nook miles on the machine in residential services. You will only see two everyday, and they change but repeat. So you need to check every day, it will prompt you if you try to purchase a DIY you already have learned. It's taking me a while to get every type. Then when you do craft it I believe you get 10 sections? I haven't done fences in a while so that's merely from recollection

    The list of fences is incomplete. There's no simple wooden fence, imperial fence, brick fence, straw fence, and a lot more

    There is no way to get rid of them permanently though no way to sell or throw them away.

    i thought you couldn't remove fences at first I was so stressed out building them
