This guide will show you how to get Orange Cosmoses in Animal Crossing: New Horizons (ACNH). Read on to learn how to breed Orange Cosmoses and get more of them in your town!
How to Make Orange Cosmoses
Cross Pollinate Red and Yellow Cosmoses
The first step in making Orange Cosmoses is to gather up some Red and Yellow Cosmoses. Note that the cosmoses you use will need to have been bought from Nook's Cranny as seeds, as the ones growing natively on your island have random cross pollination patterns.
Note: Cosmoses that are native to your island have random cross pollination patterns. The information given here will only cover flowers bought from a store.
Steps to breed Orange Cosmoses
| 1 | Gather some Red and Yellow Cosmoses. |
|---|---|
| 2 | Plant them so they are next to each other. |
| 3 | Water them with your Watering Can. |
| 4 | Check for new flowers next day and repeat from step 3 if there are none. |
Orange Cosmoses can be cross pollinated using Red and Yellow Cosmoses. For more information on how to cross pollinate, see the link below.
Orange Cosmoses may not grow the next day
Even if you've fulfilled all the preconditions for Cross Pollination, Orange Cosmoses may not grow the very next day. If there are no new flowers, you'll simply have to continue watering them.
Get them from Mystery Tours
There is a chance that Orange Cosmoses might grow on Mystery Islands. Note that Mystery Islands can only ever give you one other type of flower, so you're not guaranteed to find Orange Cosmoses on them.
Trade Online
If you're struggling to get a specific flower type or hybrid color, trading with others online might be the quickest way to get them!
How to Multiply Orange Cosmoses
Clone the Orange Cosmoses you have
The easiest way to get Orange Cosmoses for sure is to clone the ones you have. To clone flowers, plant them somewhere where they aren't touching any other flowers of their type and water them every day. Eventually, they will make a copy of themselves in one of the empty spaces!
Repeat the Breeding Process
Once you get Orange Cosmoses to grow, you can repeat the process to get more. These flowers are used to make other hybrid flowers as well, so why not grow a lot while you're at it?
