Animal Crossing: New Horizons (ACNH) - How to Get Golden Roses

This is a guide to growing Golden Roses in the game Animal Crossing: New Horizons (ACNH) for the Nintendo Switch. Read on for a complete list of steps to grow Golden Roses.

How to Grow Golden Roses

To make golden roses, you have to have two black roses and you must water them with the Golden Watering Can.

Step Instruction
1 　Grow a Black Rose
2 　Water the Black Rose with the Golden Watering Can
3 　Wait multiple days for Cross Pollination to occur

1. Crossbreed two Red Roses to make a Black Rose

ACNH - A resident grows a black rose
To make as many Golden Roses as possible, spread out your Black Roses in a checkerboard pattern. This will provide the maximum amount of space for Cross Pollinated flowers to bloom.

2. Get the Golden Watering Can

ACNH - Isabelle tells the player that the island residents will receive the Golden Watering Can DIY

Translation: “To celebrate reaching the best possible rating, we'll be gifting every resident of the island with the DIY Recipe for the Golden Watering Can!”

3. Wait for Cross-Pollination to occur

The only thing left to do is to wait for the golden roses to appear!

You might have to wait multiple days for Golden Roses to appear. Be sure to plant as many Black Roses as possible to maximize your chances of Golden Roses appearing!
