Salvage Nightmare Sigils and Infernal Compasses
Salvage Nightmare Sigils at the Occultist to obtain Sigil Powders.
We recommend farming Nightmare Dungeons to get a surplus of Sigils to scrap. Monsters in Nightmare Dungeons have a moderate chance of dropping Sigils so take down as many as you can while completing Dungeon objectives.
When deciding which Nightmare Sigils to salvage, always save the best Nightmare Dungeons for XP and Obducite farming in your stash.
Get Nightmare Sigils and Infernal Compasses from Nightmare Dungeons
You can obtain Nightmare Sigils and Infernal Compasses by completing Nightmare Dungeons. This provides you with a steady flow of nightmare dungeons to run indefinitely.
Note that Infernal Compasses can also be rarely obtained in Helltide and Mystery Caches, giving you more options for farming sigil powder.
Kill Mobs in Nightmare Dungeons
Mobs in Nightmare Dungeons now have a chance to drop Sigil Powders. Make sure to run Nightmare Dungeons with high mob density for a higher chance of getting Sigil Powders. However, it's best to simply complete Nightmare Dungeons when farming for Sigil Powder, as it is more consistent rather than hoping for a drop change from mobs.
Nightmare Dungeon Tier List (Season 6)
Obtained from Whisper Caches
After reaching level 15 you can now obtain Sigil Powder by opening Whsiper Caches from the Tree of Whispers. This is a reliable method of obtaining Sigil Powder if you're out of Sigils to salvage as it also has a chance to drop a Nightmare Sigil.
Participate in World Events
You can also obtain Sigil Powder by reaching level 15 and participating in World Events. Completing these world events will spawn a chest at the end which will reward you with Sigil Powder. Do note that these events have Mastery Conditions that allow you to obtain better rewards if you meet the conditions.
How to Use Sigil Powder
Used in Crafting Nightmare Sigils
Sigil Powder is required to craft Nightmare Sigils at the Occultist. Nightmare Sigils are used to open Nightmare Dungeons which are modified Dungeons that feature positive and negative Affixes.
Crafdting a Nightmare Sigils will always cost 60 Sigil Powders and 4000 Gold. Note that as of Season 6 Nightmare Dungeons no longer have tiers, instead they follow the new universal key method, where the difficulty of the Nightmare Sigil adjusts to the current World Tier you're on.
