Can be Farmed From Plant Nodes During Helltide

Fiend Roses will only spawn during the in-game event known as the Helltide. They can be obtained by interacting the Fiend Rose plant nodes you find while exploring the area affected by the Helltide.

Do note that the event only lasts for a total of 50 minutes. Spend your time wisely as you will have to split your attention between farming and the other activities available during Helltide.

Unlock the Helltide Event at Nightmare Difficulty

Players will first need to unlock the Nightmare Difficulty by reaching World Tier 3 in order to see and participate in the Helltide. Progress through the main story and complete your World Tier 2 Capstone Dungeon to unlock this endgame event.

Dropped by Helltide Elite Mobs

Alternatively, Fiend Roses can also be farmed by killing Elite Mobs within the area affected by the Helltide event. While not guaranteed drops, some Elite Mobs and Helltide bosses will reward you with the rare resource on death.

Looted from Tortured Gifts in Helltide

Another way to obtain Fiend Roses is by opening Tortured Gifts found during the Helltide event. Unlock these special chests to get powerful equipment as well as rare resources like the Fiend Rose.

How to Use Fiend Roses

Use Fiend Roses to Enchant Legendary Items

As of Season 2, Fiend Roses are used to Enchant your Sacred and Ancestral Legendary items at the Occultist, re-rolling one of their affixes for a chance at a better one that fits your build. Spend these limited resources wisely as Enchanting will cost a lot of Gold and Crafting Materials on top of the Fiend Rose requirement.

Upgrade Major and Superior Healing Potions

The final two upgrades to Healing Potions will require 5 and 10 Fiend Roses respectively. These give quite a boost to your healing and will be indispensable upgrades in the late endgame.

2 Fiend Roses are necessary in crafting each of the Incense recipes, which provide a temporary buff to one core stat.
