You can obtain Coiling Wards by salvaging legendary armor that have at least 400 Item Power at the Blacksmith of any town or city. Legendary equipment have low drop rates, so only salvage Legendary armor pieces that you can afford to lose.

Note that Legendary armors with under 400 Item Power will never yield Coiling Wards, while Legendary armors with over 400 Item Power will always yield Coiling Wards, so remember this when deciding what to do with your unwanted Legendaries.

Blizzard has removed this option now no longer able to Salvage Legendary Armor at the Blacksmith. What do you do when no longer able to get Coiling Wards from the Blacksmith. The Occultist still states need to get the Coiling Wards at the Blacksmith. Blizzard screwed everyone using Aspects at over level 40 for your Character.
