Ancient Dragon-Man can be found all the way inside Dragon's Pit when the player jumps down the dark pit opposite from where the Magma Wyrm is.
Ancient Dragon-Man is weakest to Lightning damage, based on our damage tests using different types of elemental grease on the Messmer Soldier's Spear against him.
Bolt of Gransax and the Death Knight's Twin Axes are great weapons with innate Lightning damage, but you can also use the Sanctified Whetblade or Vyke's Dragonbolt to give your weapon of choice Lightning damage.
Ranged players can opt to use incantations like Lightning Strike and Frozen Lightning Spear, or a weapon with the Thunderbolt skill.
Ancient Dragon-Man's weakest resistances are to Poison, Scarlet Rot, and Frostbite, which can all be exploited to trigger debuffs early in the fight against him.
Use weapons like the Venomous Fang, Antspur Rapier, or Death's Poker that can build up these negative statuses. Alternatively, use either the Black Whetblade or Glintstone Whetblade to affix weapons with Poison or Cold affinities.
For ranged caster builds, INT players can cast Glintstone Icecrag and Ranni's Dark Moon for Frostbite build up, while FAI-ARC players can cast Rotten Breath or Ekzykes's Decay to build up Scarlet Rot.
Tips for Beating Ancient Dragon-Man |

Watch for his charge animation, signifying that he is using his Dragonwound Slash, and dodge out of the way.
This move is capable of one-shotting you if the Ancient Dragon-Man lands it. Fortunately this attack is heavily telegraphed, and the player can opt to avoid it or to stagger the Dragon-Man with an attack to cancel it.
The Ancient Dragon-Man will pull up a Magma Wyrm head and begin channeling its mouth to shoot flames at a location, coating it with magma.
During this animation, the Dragon-Man will be immobile, defenseless, and can be interrupted, so make sure to take this opportunity to evade and strike.
The Dragon-Man will sometimes summon this more traditional Dragon Head, charing up to launch a diving bite attack that is capable of one-shotting the player.
Unlike the Fire Spit and Dragonwound Slash attacks, this cannot be interrupted and must be avoided.
The Ancient Dragon-Man's attacks have considerable cooldown times. Every attack string can open him up for the player to dish out one or two hits safely.
In terms of any weird gimmicks, the Ancient Dragon-Man fights exactly like an invader or a mimic, making his moveset simple to understand and somewhat predictable.
The Ancient Dragon-Man's Weapon is capable of staggering the player, as well as applying an amount of Bleed to them.
Play it slow and wait for an opening, as he gives plenty of opportunities for the player to strike anyway.
You will likely encounter the Ancient Dragon-Man once you have gotten familiar with the DLC. However, even with a high character level, the Ancient Dragon-Man's attacks do heavy damage to you until you upgrade your Scadutree Blessing level.
Collect Scadutree Fragments around the map before tackling this boss, up to at least Scadutree Blessing Level 3, to improve your odds of survival.

When the Boss reaches 50% HP, he will drink a crimson flask to heal for 25% of his HP, but renders him unable to attack, giving the player a free hit.
After that, his flask will be empty, turning any of his attempts to heal into a free hit opportunity for the player.
