Where to Find Runebear

Runebear Location

Runebear can be found in Earthbore Cave, which is located down a cliffside north of the forest in Weeping Peninsula. To easily locate this cave, there will be a spectral candle stand in the forest. Interacting with it will summon a ghost that leads you to the entrance of Earthbore Cave.

This boss can be a bit more intimidating than the other bosses in the area, so we recommend completing the other areas in Weeping Peninsula before attempting Earthbore Cave.

Get Under Its Belly

Staying under its belly will keep you safe from most of its attacks, so feel free to mash attack from this position. Make sure to wield your weapon with both hands, so you could stagger the Runebear easier.

Inflict Bleed

Runebear can be afflicted with all status ailments: Bleed, Frost, Scarlet Rot, and Poison. At this point of the game though, the most accessible one is Bleed.

An Uchigatana, which inflicts Bleed, can be found in Deathtouched Catacombs. Kukris, which can also inflict bleed can easily be bought from a Nomadic Merchant in Weeping Peninsula.
