Defeat the Ancient Dragon-Man Invader Nearby

Elden Ring - Defeat the Ancient Dragon-Man Invader

Your next stop will be the Dragon Pit dungeon to the south. However, as you make your way there, you'll be invaded by the Ancient Dragon-Man. Defeat him to clear the way to the dungeon.

2. Defeat the Ancient Dragon-Man to Unlock the Jagged Peak

The boss of the Dragon Pit dungeon will also be the Ancient Dragon-Man, but he'll be wielding the Dragon-Hunter's Great Katana. Defeat him to unlock the way to the Jagged Peak (where you'll find Igon and the rest of the bosses you have to face).

Note: To reach the boss room, you will need to jump down into a large, dark pit. If you find a message saying Be brave, Show no fear, it means you're near the pit you have to jump into.

3. Defeat the First Jagged Peak Drake

Elden Ring - Defeat the Lone Jagged Peak Drake

Exit the boss room through the large double doors and go through the small cave until you reach the Foot of the Jagged Peak. This new area will open up into a large basin with a sleeping Jagged Peak Drake. Defeat it to clear the way forward.

4. Go to the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion

Elden Ring - Grand Altar of Dragon Communion Map Location

From the basin, head south until you see the corpse of a gigantic dragon. Approach it to reach the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion. Speak to the Dragon Communion Priestess nearby and choose the option to Devour draconic essence.

Upon devouring the essence, you will be rewarded with an Ancient Dragon's Blessing - a single-use consumable that increases all forms of damage negation.

Ask the Dragon Communion Priestess About Igon and Bayle the Dread

Elden Ring - Dragon Priestess Communion Lore

The Dragon Communion Priestess will offer more information about Igon (after beating the duo Jagged Peak Drakes), Bayle the Dread, and their connection to Dragonlord Placidusax. If you want more lore, make sure to exhaust her dialogue before you finish Igon's quest.

5. Defeat the Duo Jagged Peak Drakes

Next, return to the basin where you fought the first dragon before heading east. Follow the curve of the mountain and use the long rope bridge to cross over to the base of the Jagged Peak. Keep heading south until you reach a large open area with 2 Jagged Peak Drakes fighting.

Defeat the Jagged Peak Drake with the boss HP bar to get Igon to spawn in. However, do note that the other Jagged Peak Drake won't despawn even after the boss is slain. Kill it first before talking to Igon to prevent any accidents.

How to Beat Jagged Peak Drakes

6. Speak to Igon to Get His Furled Finger

Elden Ring - Igon

With the duo boss taken care of, speak to Igon nearby (he'll still be lying on the ground). He'll tell you to summon him when you challenge Bayle the Dread, giving you a key item called Igon's Furled Finger that allows you to see his summon sign inside Bayle's arena.

Note: If you can't seem to pinpoint the location of his voice, open your map after beating the duo boss. An NPC marker should appear showing you where Igon is exactly.

Give Thiollier's Concoction to the Dragon Priestess for Alternate Rewards

Before fighting Bayle, you will have the option to get an alternate ending for the Dragon Priestess as well as a different set of rewards. If you want to change her quest's outcome, wait until she falls asleep at night and give her Thiollier's Concoction (if you have it).

How to Get Thiollier's Concoction
1 Speak to Moore at the Main Gate Cross site of grace outside Belurat, Tower Settlement.
2 Next, speak to Thiollier at the Pillar Path Cross site of grace.
3 Return to Moore and speak to him until he gives you the Black Syrup item to deliver.
4 Deliver the Black Syrup to Thiollier to receive Thiollier's Concoction.
5 Give Thiollier's Concoction to the Dragon Communion Priestess at night.

7. Defeat Ancient Dragon Senessax

Elden Ring - Ancient Dragon Senessax

As you make your way up the mountain, you'll encounter just one more boss before Bayle the Dread. Defeat Ancient Dragon Senessax to clear the way to the Jagged Peak Summit where Bayle awaits your challenge.

While this boss fight isn't required, Senessax does drop an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone and a Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone if you manage to beat them.

8. Summon Igon and Defeat Bayle the Dread

Elden Ring - Summon Igon and Defeat Bayle the Dread

At the summit, head inside the large boss arena and wait for the fight to start. Once Bayle the Dread appears, Igon's Gold Summon sign should appear nearby, allowing you to summon him to help you against the boss. Defeat this ancient dragon to finish the last of Igon's objectives.

How to Find Igon's Summon Sign

Igon's summon sign will appear once the boss fight starts. It will spawn to the left of the fog gate as you enter. For easier spotting, consider dying first so you can get your bearings when re-entering the arena.

9. Return to Igon and the Priestess

Elden Ring - Return to Igon and the Priestess

Once Bayle the Dread is killed, return to Igon at the foot of the Jagged Peak (where you last left him). You'll now be able to loot his weapon, armor set, and Bell Bearing from his body.

Next, return to the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion. Depending on your choices during her questline, the Priestess will either be gone or there to congratulate you. Your rewards from her will depend on whether she's there or not.

Igon Information and Lore

Previously a Scavenger of Battlefields

Igon was once a scavenger of battlefields, looting corpses to fashion together the armor he currently wears. According to his armor set description, he was only able to leave behind his old life by partaking in Dragon Communion - consuming dragon hearts to attain the power of dragons.

Ends Up as a Crippled Drake Warrior

If you ask the Dragon Communion Priestess about Igon, she will reply that he was a Drake Warrior driven mad by his hunger for dragon hearts. When spoken to, the now-crippled Igon expresses a great deal of hate towards Bayle the Dread.
