Summon a tanky Spirit Ash to distract the Crystalians

Using Spirit Ashes such as Kaiden Sellsword or Banished Knight Oleg will allow you to freely hit the Crystalians while they tank damage for you.

Attack the Crystalians until you break their poise

Crystalians will initially take very little damage due to their hard exterior. Just keep hitting them until you break their poise, indicated when they kneel to the ground. This opens them up to taking massive damage.

Use a combo of quick-release and defensive spells

Glintstone Pebble will be your primary spell for this fight since you can cast it even while moving. Use this to target the Staff Crystalian since this boss can attack you with ranged crystals.

The Spear Crystalian will be constantly trying to get close to you, so cast the Carian Phalanx as a defensive spell. Night Maiden's Mist will also be extremely effective since it will reduce their health even before breaking their poise.

Make sure you equip a blunt weapon and two-hand it

If you wield your weapon with only one hand while fighting Crystalians, it may just bounce off them and have no effect. In order to break through their crystal body, melee users should use their weapons with both hands. In addition, equipping a blunt weapon will make attacks even more effective.

Crystalian Attack Patterns

Staff Attacks

Staff Attack Variations
Crystal AoE - Crystalian - Elden Ring
Crystal AoE: The Staff Crystalian launches multiple crystals in the area around it. Back away as soon as the animation for this starts since this only hits you at close range.
Crystal Barrage - Crystalian - Elden Ring
Crystal Barrage: The Staff Crystalian fires crystals at you repeatedly. This doesn't track so you can just run or dodge to the side to avoid this attack.
Staff Slam - Crystalian - Elden Ring
Staff Slam: The Staff Crystalian raises its weapon overhead then slams it to the ground. Don't try hitting it at close range during its animation since this affects the area around it and you may not be able to avoid the damage even after backing away. Wait for it to slam the staff down then attack it.

Ringblade Attacks

Ringblade Attack Variations
Ringblade Toss - Crystalian - Elden Ring
Ringblade Toss: The Ringblade Crystalian throws its smaller rings at you. Keep your shield up since it can throw these multiple times.
Rolling Blade - Crystalian - Elden Ring
Rolling Blade: The Ringblade Crystalian rolls its larger ring towards you, which then rolls back. You can roll to the side to avoid this.
Spinning Frenzy - Crystalian - Elden Ring
Spinning Frenzy: The Ringblade Crystalian spins multiple times and damages anything caught in its path. This is its primary attack and it can do this at any range.

Spear Thrust

Spear Thrust Attack Information
Spear Thrust - Crystalian - Elden Ring
Spear Thrust: The Spear Crystalian's will thrust at you repeatedly with its weapon. He will sometimes do a short jump as he attacks you. Dodge to the side or block with your shield to avoid this.
