Use tanky Spirit Ashes to distract Loretta

Keeping your distance when using ranged weapons is always important, but Loretta has a number of ranged attacks herself to counter you, as well as a leaping move to close any distance. To avoid these and get your attacks off, summon tanky Spirit Ashes such as the Greatshield Soldiers. They'll take the brunt of the damage and you'll be free to use your weapons on her.

Use quick-release spells

Loretta will constantly be trying to close down any distance between you, so it'll be easier to damage her if you prioritize using spells with quick cast times. A great spell to use would be Lightning Spear since she's fairly weak to Lightning. Other options would be Glintstone Pebble and Carian Slicer.

Dodge through Loretta's polearm attacks to get hits in

Go on the offensive in this fight by dodging to get closer to Loretta instead of away from her. Successful dodges against her melee attacks will almost always let you attack her a couple extra times. Her polearms attacks should be simple enough to time.

Don't stay close when Loretta begins casting ranged spells

When using melee weapons, start distancing yourself from Loretta when she starts casting he ranged spells, particularly Glintblade Phalanx. These are difficult to dodge if you stay close to her, and the extra distance will give you ample time to evade them.

Royal Knight Loretta Attack Patterns

Ranged Attacks

Ranged Attack Variations
Glintstone Pebble - Royal Knight Loretta
Glintstone Pebble: Loretta points the bottom of her polearm at you and fires small spellblasts. This is usually cast when you're far from her, but is easy to telegraph and dodge.
Greatbow - Royal Knight Loretta
Greatbow: Once you've halved Loretta's health, she'll start using her greatbow. This animation starts with her charging up her bow then firing a giant arrow at you.
Glintstone Phalanx - Royal Knight Loretta
Glintblade Phalanx: Loretta casts a spell that summons 5 blades that float momentarily before flying towards you. She'll always cast this at the start of the fight. Make sure to get some distance when she starts casting this since it's difficult to dodge up close, but you can attack her one or two times before you'll need to start running away. She'll start summoning 8 blades when you bring her health down to half.

Polearm Attacks

Polearm Attack Variations
Polearm Sweep - Royal Knight Loretta
Polearm Sweep: If you're keeping your distance from Loretta, she'll charge at you then swing her weapon at you. She'll be able to reach you most times so it's better to just dodge into this attack instead of trying to back away. You can also get a few hits in after she does this.
Polearm Thrust - Royal Knight Loretta
Polearm Thrust: Loretta will pull her polearm back then thrust it in your direction. You can dodge into this attack or block it.
Polearm Slash - Royal Knight Loretta
Polearm Slash: Loretta raises her polearm then diagonally slashes at you twice. Dodge in the opposite direction of where she's swinging to avoid these.
Polearm Slam - Royal Knight Loretta
Polearm Slam: This attack usually occurs right after either the Polearm Slash or Polearm Thrust. Loretta will raise her polearm up and slam it to the ground. You can dodge backwards to avoid this entirely, or dodge into the attack to attack her a few times.
Polearm Uppercut - Royal Knight Loretta
Polearm Uppercut: When Loretta's polearm starts lighting up, she'll be preparing an attack where she'll leap and thrust upwards. You can dodge into this attack to avoid it.
