It's best to keep your distance from this boss and use attacks from mid to long-range. Once you see Beastman of Farum Azula charging up for an attack, dodge backwards to avoid it.
Use fast attacks over powerful ones
Beastman of Farum Azula moves very quickly so it's best to use attacks or skills that don't keep you in place for long. If you're a spellcaster, the most effective spells to use are Glintsword Arch and Carian Glintsword. The Incantation Beast Claw is a slow but powerful move you can use when an ally has taken Beastman of Farum Azula's attention away from you.

Beastman of Farum Azula is easy to stunlock, especially with hard-hitting weapons like twinblades. Being aggressive and attacking this boss into stunlocks is a good way to bring its health down quick. Weapon Arts like Spinning Slash are good at this. The skills Glintsword Arch and Carian Glintsword are likewise powerful and work very well against Beastman of Farum Azula.
This boss can be backstabbed
Beastman of Farum Azula can be backstabbed. This move is much easier to pull off when you've summoned a Spirit Summon or ally to help aggro the boss.
Aim for its head to get a riposte attack
Beastman of Farum Azula can also be attacked into a vulnerable state, where you can perform a riposte attack from the front. To do this, you will need to perform jumping attacks to hit its head.
Dodge Forward
In order to keep up consistent damage and stunlocking the boss, dodge forward into its attacks. This will make you avoid damage and also put you in immediate attacking range.

Beastman of Farum Azula strikes twice with its weapon. The range is very short and is easily avoided by dodging backwards.

Beastman of Farum Azula grips both ends of its cleaver and does a very simple 2-slash combo. The range is very short and is easily avoided by dodging backwards.
Long Range Thrust
Beastman of Farum Azula charges up and does a thrust which travels a long distance. Easily avoided by dodging left or right.
Spinning Slash
Beastman of Farum Azula spins and slashes in a 360 degree motion. This is avoided by dodging backwards. This is sometimes done right after its long range thrust attack.
Cleaver Smash
Beastman of Farum Azula charges for an attack and smashes its weapon down with both hands. This attack can reach you from mid-range, so make sure to dodge away in any direction.
Retreating Leg Sweep
Beastman of Farum Azula retreats backward while slashing at your feet. It may do this move if you're standing too close to it.
Roar
Beastman of Farum Azula does a quick charge and immediately does an offensive roar. This is avoided by dodging backward or to the side.
6-Slash Berserker Combo
Beastman of Farum Azula unleashes a combo of 6 deadly hits, ending with an upper-cut and striking its sword to the ground. This is avoided by dodging to the side and trying to stay behind the Beastman, or by keeping enough distance from its relatively short weapon.
