Metyr, Mother of Fingers is an optional Remembrance Boss in the Finger Ruins of Miyr under the Cathedral of Manus Metyr. She can only be fought during NPC Ymir's questline. After you ring the hanging bells of the two other Finger Ruins in the Land of Shadow, head back to the cathedral and interact with the throne to reach the ruins.

Gather Levels and Scadutree Fragments

Metyr, Mother of Fingers is a boss in the Finger Ruins of Miyr, an optional location tied to the NPC Ymir's questline. Her boss fight is relatively simple, but it's best to stock up on levels and Scadutree Fragments to pad your stats and make the fight even easier.

Use Bleed or Physical Damage

INT builds may have trouble using spells or magic damage weapons against Metyr as she resists magic damage. It's more recommended to go for status effects like Bleed or to use full physical damage weapons.

Bleed Provides Good Burst Damage

Metyr is highly susceptible to Bleed's burst damage, so use spells, weapons, or Ashes of War that inflict Bleed. Some very effective weapons in this case would be Eleonora's Poleblade and the Reduvia.

Try Full Physical With a Jump Attack Build

A well-built physical damage character can also do a good job against Metyr through consistent damage.

A specific build you can try to go for is power stancing twinblades or curved swords while equipping the Claw Talisman and Rotten Winged Sword Insignia. Buffing their multi-hit jump attacks on Metyr's large hitbox will quickly stack damage on her.

Stay in Front of Metyr

Metyr is much more predictable and dodgeable if you attack from the front. If you stick to her side, the fingers at the side of her body can be a pain to deal with when they do either a quick single hit attack, or a multi-hit walking attack that you have to run and roll from in a straight line.

Attack During Metyr's Tremor Move

When Metyr charges and detonates the ground in front of her in a cone, there's enough time to run to her and attack her side while she's locked in the animation.

Find a Non-Glowing Spot for Safety

If you're too far to run to Metyr's side, just find a non-glowing spot to stand in to avoid the blast before moving in to counter attack.

Kill or Avoid Her Summons

Metyr will occasionally summon small hand enemies to harass you during the fight. Kill them quickly, or keep focusing on Metyr while running from the hands, as they move slowly anyway.

Punish Metyr's Phase 2 Transformation

At 50% HP, Metyr will summon a gravity well above her to damage the area under her and signal Phase 2. However, this is actually a very open window to deal damage to Metyr that may be enough to prevent her from even using any new attacks.

Once she starts floating back down, rush to attack her as she descends and deal as much damage as you can to bring the fight's end significantly earlier.
