A Shadow of the Erdtree Day 1 Patch and an Elden Ring base game update will be released at June 20. Find out all the features added in these updates, the full patch notes, and more in this guide!
Shadow of the Erdtree will receive a Day 1 Patch the day before the DLC's global release.
According to an official post on X, a maintenance for the update will take place on June 20, 2024, from 7 AM to 10 AM UTC.
The official patch notes of the said Day 1 Patch is yet to be announced. We will update this page once the full patch notes are released or when announcements are made on what to expect from the patch!

One of the QoL changes to be implemented in the June 20 Patch is the addition of the Recent Items tab in the inventory.
Players will now be able to see all the new items they have picked up right upon opening their inventory instead of going through each tab looking for the items they've just picked up.
Newly obtained items will also be marked with an exclamation point that will remain until the items' info are viewed.

It will now be possible to locate active Summoning Pools with the newly added Map Functions Menu.
Based on the official image provided, the Map Functions menu—which is quite similar to the Site of Grace list—shows the list of all Summoning Pools on the map per region and further divided in the vertical list per subregion.
It is likely that the Map Functions will also be available to filter other map markers like Dungeons, Sites of Grace, and other Points of Interest.

Five new hairstyles will also be added in the update!
You can try these out for your character either during the Character Creation when starting a fresh save, using the Clouded Mirror Stand in Fia's room at the Roundtable Hold, or through Rennala's Rebirth feature.
