How to Get the Lord of Frenzied Flame Ending

Meet with the Three-Fingers

The Lord of Frenzied Flame ending is unlocked by finding the Three Fingers at the bottom of Subterranean Shunning Grounds, at the Frenzied Flame Proscription in Leyndell. After inheriting the Frenzied Flame, defeat the final boss and choose to become the Lord of Frenzied Flame.

Take note that inheriting the Frenzied Flame will lock you out of other endings.

There is a way to exit the Lord of Frenzied Flame route, but it requires finishing Millicent's questline and defeating Malenia, Blade of Miquella in order to obtain Miquella's Needle.

In order to open the door that leads to the Three Fingers, you must unequip all your armor. You don't have to unequip your weapons.

The two variations of the Lord of Frenzied Flame Ending depend on whether you meet the Three Fingers before or after Melina leaves you during her cutscene at the Forge of the Giants in the Mountaintops of the Giants region.

Meet Three Fingers after talking to Melina at Forge of the Giants

If you meet with the Three Fingers after Melina leaves you at Forge of the Giants, the regular Lord of Frenzied Flame ending will play out and Melina will not appear at the end.

Meet Three Fingers before talking to Melina at Forge of the Giants

If you meet with the Three Fingers before Melina leaves you at Forge of the Giants, Melina will have a special scene in the Lord of Frenzied Flame ending cutscene.

The only difference between the two endings is whether or not Melina appears, so we suggest meeting Three Fingers before talking to Melina, since this ending has more content.

How to Exit the Lord of Frenzied Flame Route

Complete Millicent's Questline

You can exit the Lord of Frenzied Flame route by completing Millicent's questline, which also involves Gowry's questline. Millicent can initially be found in Church of the Plague in Caelid.

Use Miquella's Needle in Dragonlord Placidusax's Boss Area

After completing Millicent's questline, you will receive the Unalloyed Golden Needle.

Then, defeat Malenia, Blade of Miquella and use the needle on her remains to obtain Miquella's Needle.

Now, use this new item in the boss room of Dragonlord Placidusax in Crumbling Farum Azula. You do not need to fight Placidusax in order to use Miquella's Needle.

Once you've done all of this, you will have exited the Lord of Frenzied Flame ending, and you will be free to choose any other ending you fancy.
