1. Speak to the Priestess and Devour the Draconic Essence

The Dragon Communion Priestess will be found at the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion in the Jagged Peak. Speak to her there and choose the option to Devour draconic essence to start her questline.

Upon devouring the essence, she will tell you about her Lord, Placidusax, before tasking you to kill the traitor to their draconic brood - Bayle the Dread.

Should You Devour Draconic Essence?

It's best to devour the Draconic Essence as it gives you the Ancient Dragon's Blessing, a consumable item that can be used by consuming FP to enhance your damage negation stats and increase guarding damage negation with no downsides or debuffs.

You can only have one Ancient Dragon's Blessing in your inventory but you can always return to the Priestess and ask for power once you've used one.

This is also the only way to get the incantation and spirit ash rewards from the priestess, as the option to use Thioller's Concoction on her (explained in detail in the next step below) will not appear until you partake of the essence.

2. Decide If You Want to Use Thiollier's Concoction

After being tasked to kill Bayle, players will have the option to poison her using Thiollier's Concoction.

If you decide to poison her, return here at night and use the concoction on her. You will see her awake again at daytime and will have a new dialogue, indicating that the rewards at the end of the questline have been altered and locked on.

On the other hand, if you defeated Bayle without using the concoction on the priestess, she will disappear from her usual spot and leave behind the second set of rewards.

How to Get Thiollier's Concoction

1	Speak to Moore at the Main Gate Cross site of grace outside Belurat, Tower Settlement.
2	Next, speak to Thiollier at the Pillar Path Cross site of grace.
3	Return to Moore and speak to him until he gives you the Black Syrup item to deliver.
4	Deliver the Black Syrup to Thiollier to receive Thiollier's Concoction.

3. Defeat Bayle the Dread

Your final task will be to challenge Bayle the Dread at the summit of the Jagged Peak. Defeat him to fulfill the final objective of the Dragon Communion Priestess. Bayle is a difficult boss. We recommend fighting him with a Scadutree Level higher than 13.

Progress Igon's Questline to Get a Gold Summon Against Bayle

Igon the fallen Drake Warrior will be available as a gold summon during the Bayle the Dread fight if you progressed his questline. If you want the extra help (and rewards), make sure to complete his quest alongside the Priestess's.

4. Return to the Priestess After Killing Bayle

Once you've killed Bayle the Dread, return to the Dragon Communion Priestess. Depending on the choice you made earlier, she will either be dead or alive, with a different set of rewards tied to each outcome.

If you gave her Thiollier's Concoction, she will live. Choose to tell her the truth and take her with you to receive a new Incantation as well as a new Spirit Ash summon.

If you didn't give her Thiollier's Concoction, she will die. However, she will leave behind her weapon as well as a reusable tool that allows you to transform into a half-dragon.

Found at the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion

Can be found next to the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion at the Foot of the Jagged Peak.

To reach this area, you will need to defeat the Ancient Dragon-Man boss inside the Dragon Pit dungeon. From there, go to the Foot of the Jagged Peak and ride south towards the corpse of a large dragon to find the Dragon Communion Priestess.
