Scadu Altus Map Fragment

North of Castle Ensis

There are two paths you can take to reach this map fragment: Pass through Castle Ensis or take a hidden route through Fort of Reprimand.

Take Main Route Through Castle Ensis

The main route should take you through Castle Ensis, with a boss fight against Rellana, Twin Moon Knight at the end. Exit the castle to reach Scadu Altus.

Ride Spiritspring Up to Fort of Reprimand

From the Castle Front site of grace, head southeast down a sloping path toward a green swamp. Find the spiritspring to the east. It is inactive because it is currently sealed.

Find a nearby rock pile surrounded by wind and destroy it to unseal the spiritspring. Ride the spiritspring to the Fort of Reprimand and advance through it to reach Scadu Altus.

Furnace Golem Locations

Inactive Furnace Golem (Ruins of Unte)	Rec. Lvl.: 140+ Location: Ruins of Unte, Castle Watering Hole Where to Find: Found seated in front of the entrance to the Ruins of Unte. Requires you to throw a Hefty Furnace Pot into its wicker basket head to activate and defeat it.
Furnace Golem (Church District Highroad)	Rec. Lvl.: 140+ Location: Church District Highroad Where to Find: Found roaming the area to the east of the Cathedral of Manus Metyr.
Furnace Golem (Ellac River)	Rec. Lvl.: 140+ Location: Charo's Hidden Grave, Charo's Hidden Grave Where to Find: Found along the Ellac River, guarding the entrance to the Cerulean Coast.
Furnace Golem (Shadow Keep)	Rec. Lvl.: 140+ Location: Highroad Cross Where to Find: A Mini-Boss situated just infront of the Shadow Keep right after the area where Messmer's Soldier's keep is situated.

Shadow Keep

Shadow Keep is a DLC Legacy Dungeon found at the north part of Scadu Altus. Here, you fight the boss Messmer the Impaler in order to progress through Shadow of the Erdtree.

Shadow Keep, Church District

The Church District can only be accessed through the eastern entrance of Shadow Keep.

This east entrance and a good portion of the eastern section of the Scadu Altus are accessed only by going through the underground cave near Moorth Ruins.

Ruins of Unte

To get into Ruins of Unte, you need to progress through Shadow Keep and find the path that leads to the Abyssal Woods.

Head to the eastern side of the castle, where there will be a ladder that leads down to the water. Enter the room behind the waterfall and hit the illusory wall near the painting to reveal a path to a hidden coffin. Interact with the coffin to access the Castle Watering Hole.

How to Get Into Ruins of Unte

Throw Hefty Furnace Pot into Furnace Golem

Obtain the Greater Potentate's Cookbook (2) to craft a Hefty Furnace Pot. Throw the pot into the inactive Furnace Golem's head to wake it up and open the path into the Ruins of Unte, where you can obtain a Giant Golden Arc.

Darklight Catacombs

Darklight Catacombs is a dungeon you must brave in order to reach the Abyssal Woods region. Darklight Catacombs is found to the south of Scadu Altus and can be reached by entering the coffin in the hidden room in Shadow Keep.
