Bolt of Gransax Location, Stats, and Scaling

Bolt of Gransax is a Spear in Elden Ring that scales with Strength and Dexterity. Read on to learn how to get the Bolt of Gransax, as well as its location, description, upgrades, stat requirements, and best Ashes of War.

Bolt of Gransax Location

Found on the Giant Spear in Leyndell, Royal Capital

The Bolt of Gransax can be found on the giant spear held by the massive stone dragon in Leyndell, Royal Capital. The area you can jump down from to reach the giant spear can be accessed by taking the elevator west of the Godfrey, First Elden Lord boss room (Erdtree Sanctuary site of grace).

However, do note that the Bolt of Gransax is missable. Make sure to get it before you defeat Maliketh, the Black Blade in Crumbling Farum Azula. Otherwise, Leyndell will become the Capital of Ash, locking you out of getting this weapon until you start an NG+ cycle.

How to Find the Bolt of Gransax

1
Start from the Erdtree Sanctuary site of grace, where you fought Godfrey.
2
Exit west and go down the stairs. Inside the next building is a lift that will take you near the giant spear.
3
Go down the next set of stairs while heading north towards the giant spear.
4
Stick to the railing directly above the giant spear and look below. You should see a small platform (above the gazebo) that you can safely jump onto.
5
Do a running jump to get over the railing and land on the platform. Jump down onto the giant spear and go up to where the Bolt of Gransax is.
