How to Add Faith Scaling to Weapons

Use the Red-Hot or Sanctified Whetblades

Whetblade Effect
Elden Ring - Red-Hot WhetbladeRed-Hot Whetblade Flame Art Affinity:
・Grants Faith scaling.
・Adds Fire Damage.
Elden Ring - Sanctified WhetbladeSanctified Whetblade Sacred Affinity:
・Grants Faith scaling.
・Adds Holy Damage.

If you want to give your weapons Faith scaling, you will need to obtain and use either the Red-Hot Whetblade from Redmane Castle or the Sanctified Whetblade from Leyndell, Royal Capital.

Once you get either of the two, you will be able to add either a Sacred or Flame Art affinity to your weapon. Depending on the type, it will also get either Holy or Fire damage.

Weapon Stat Scaling Explained

Imprint Ashes of War with Flame Art or Sacred Affinites

Ashes of War that have Sacred (e.g., Sacred Blade) or Flame Art (e.g., Prelate's Charge) affinities will give your weapon Faith scaling when imprinted.

If you're using a Faith build but don't have access to the Red-Hot or Sanctified Whetblades, then Ashes of War with a Sacred affinity are your best bet for adding early game Faith scaling. Unfortunately, Flame Art ashes are off the table until late game.
