Black Knight Garrew General Tips

Tips for Beating Black Knight Garrew

Run Behind Him to Land a Backstab

Black Knight Garrew's attacks are very slow, usually allowing you to sprint around him for easy backstabs. Take advantage of his slow wind-up animations to chain together backstabs that trivialize this boss fight.

Use Moves that Bypass Guard

Sorceries, Incantations, and Ashes of War that can bypass and hit enemies that have their guard up are recommended against Black Knight Garrew. Black Knight Garrew will always have his guard up and retaliate either with his shield attacks or with a powerful guard counter. Utilizing moves that can hit the knight even if it has its guard up will make the fight much easier.

His Tongue Pull's Follow-Up Can Be Countered

Black Knight Garrew's tongue attack is a move that pulls you into the Knight's melee range. This attack will always be followed up by another attack so be sure to either dodge it, block, or parry the attack. This will prevent Black Knight Garrew from landing additional hits on you!
