The key to landing safe shots and preventing Bloodhound Knight from spamming Quickstep is to always stay just within melee range. You can easily bait Triple Slashes with this method, which often leaves Bloodhound Knight open to counterattacks afterward.

All of Bloodhound Knight's attacks are physical. Use a shield with 100 physical defense to completely negate its attack via blocks and parries.

Bloodhound Knight is extremely vulnerable to Guard Counters and Parries. These mechanics can easily open Bloodhound Knight up to Critical Attacks, trivializing the entire fight.

 Triple Slash: A combo that starts with two lateral sweeps, followed by a massive overhead slam towards the target. Take note that Bloodhound Knight can end this combo at any point depending on its distance from the target. It will only pull the entire combo off if the target is within melee range the entire time. Take advantage of its long recovery animation afterwards by landing your own attacks and spells. |
 Retreating Slash: Bloodhound Knight does a quick sweep and hops away from the target. Take note that it can easily quickstep back to melee range afterward. |
