How to Beat Dragonkin Soldier of Nokstella

Tips for Beating Dragonkin Soldier of Nokstella

Use Spirit Ashes to Summon Spirits

The Dragonkin Soldier of Nokstella's large size means its attacks can cover a large area, making it very difficult to dodge especially when it enters its second phase. Summon your tankiest spirit ash before the fight so that they can distract the boss.

Banished Knight Engvall and Banished Knight Oleg, as well as Lhutel the Headless, are great choices for this fight. All three are aggressive and tanky summons that will keep aggro on them, letting you deal damage to the boss safely.

Stay Under the Dragonkin Soldier

The safest place during this boss is right under the Dragonkin Soldier as most of its attacks involve sweeping its arms outwards. Even during the second phase where it can use its signature Frozen Lightning Spear, the attack only covers the area in front of the boss.

Staying under the boss also lets you avoid its flying sweep attack during its second phase, which can cover almost half of the boss area.

Avoid Locking On to the Boss

Avoid using the camera lock feature on this boss and instead fight with free aim. The Dragonkin's soldier's large size means that the camera will often snap to the boss when it moves or flies over you during its second phase, causing your view to mess up and prevent you from seeing that its winding up to attack.

Use Weapons that Deal Slash Damage

Weapon Type Weaknesses
Slash Weapons

The Dragonkin Soldier of Nokstella lacks any resistance to weapons that deal slash damage, making it a rather trivial fight if using fast slashing weapons such as the Uchigatana or the Lordsworn Straight Sword.
