Pausing the game is typically not a feature of FromSoftware titles. However, there is a way to do so in Elden Ring. Read on to learn how you can pause the game at anytime!

Open Menu Explanation

Opening the Menu Explanation at the equipment tab of your inventory pauses your game. To do this, first press the Options button to open up your main menu screen then head to Inventory. While there, press the Touchpad button to open up the help tab then scroll down to Menu Explanation, opening this should pause your game.

For PC players here are the default controls for keyboards, pressing the ESC key will open your main menu screen, head to Inventory and press the G key to bring up the help tab and use your Arrow Keys to navigate to Menu Explanation.
