Elden Ring - Scadutree Blessing Scaling Explained

The Scadutree Blessing scales better when upgraded from Level 1 to 12 in Ver. 1.12.2 of the Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree. Read on to learn how the Scadutree Blessing's damage and damage negation scaling works from Blessing levels 1 to 20, as well as its level soft cap when upgrading.

Scadutree Blessing Scaling Explained

Note: The data used in this article was gathered by gathering all Scadutree Fragments and upgrading to Blessing Level 20 in one go. Character level and equipment was kept consistent while leveling and recording % increases.

Grants More Damage and Damage Negation at Early Levels

As of Patch 1.12.2, you will get more Damage and Damage Negation bumps from your early Scadutree Blessing levels before the value increases start to plateau the higher you go. Specifically, the bonuses drop off in terms of gains once you level up past Blessing Level 12.

This means that those first few Scadutree Blessings you get will give you much more noticeable boosts to damage and survivability compared to later levels.

Scadutree Blessing Soft Caps at Blessing Level 12

The soft cap for Scadutree Blessings is Blessing Level 12. After this point, the values eventually plateau when it comes to the % increases they give to weapon damage and damage negation. You'll get marginal returns in damage and damage negation for each level earned, as per our findings below.

Weapon Damage Gets Big Boosts at Certain Levels

Blessing Lvl. Intervals Bonus Damage (%)
Level 0 ▶ Level 1 10.03%
Level 1 ▶ Level 2 9.12%
Level 2 ▶ Level 5 Avg. of 4.04% per level
Level 5 ▶ Level 6 5.47%
Level 6 ▶ Level 7 5.31%
Level 7 ▶ Level 10 Avg. of 3.22% per level
Level 10 ▶ Level 11 6.08%
Level 11 ▶ Level 12 5.73%
Level 12 ▶ Level 20 Avg. of 1.29% per level

Players who want to get big damage boosts should consider leveling their Scadutree Blessing to the intervals shown above since you'll get the biggest % increase to weapon damage when you reach these milestones.

Leveling from Scadutree Blessing Levels 0 to 2, 5 to 7, and 10 to 12 will offer the biggest damage bumps. If you find yourself struggling with a boss even while using a +25 weapon, consider hitting the next milestone in this series to get a considerable boost to your damage.

Max Out Your Scadutree Blessing Level for the Final 10% Damage Bonus

However, do not discount the damage increase offered by maxing out your Scadutree Blessing level. Despite the smaller increases after hitting Blessing Level 12, maxing it out to 20 will ultimately net you an extra 10.35% damage bonus; think of it as the final, gradual bump in the series.

Weapon Damage Scaling

Weapon DMG % Increase per Blessing Lvl.

Note: The X-axis displays the Scadutree Blessing level from 1 to 20. The Y-axis displays the damage increase per Scadutree Blessing level in percent (%).

Based on the graph, weapon damage gets the biggest bumps in bonus damage from Scadutree Blessing Levels 1 to 12. After you hit 13, you'll get marginal returns until you hit 20. However, the collective % increase from Level 13 to 20 is a bonus 10.35% damage.

Damage Negation Scaling

DMG Negation % Increase per Blessing Lvl.

Note: The X-axis displays the Scadutree Blessing level from 1 to 20. The Y-axis displays the Physical, VS Strike, VS Slash, VS Pierce, Magic, Fire, Lightning, and Holy damage negation increases per Scadutree Blessing level in percent (%).

Based on the graph, damage negation increases follow the same trend as weapon damage in that you get bigger bonuses from Scadutree Blessing Levels 1 to 12, with significant increases when leveling your blessing from 0 to 2, 5 to 7, and 10 to 12.

However, once you reach Scadutree Blessing 13, the bonuses per level start to plateau. To get the full value out of the Scadutree Blessing past Level 12, you'll have to max out your Blessing to Level 20.
