Defeat the Madding Hand NPC in the Abyssal Woods

The Madding Hand is obtained by defeating the hostile NPC Madding Hand in the Abyssal Woods. The path to the Abyssal Woods region starts at the coffin teleporter in Shadow Keep which unlocks a new area called the Recluses' River. From here, reach the Darklight Catacombs to the south and go through the dungeon to arrive at the foot of the Abyssal Woods.

How to Find Madding Hand

Find the coffin teleporter in Shadow Keep that leads to the Castle Watering Hole Site of Grace. From the Castle Watering Hole, travel south through the Recluses' River until you reach Darklight Catacombs.

Progress through the Darklight Catacombs by lighting up dark areas with the light levers found in the dungeon for easier navigation. Proceed into the depths of the dungeon until you reach a room with a giant Bigmouth Imp.

You can choose to defeat the giant Bigmouth Imp or go around it to reach the elevator leading to the exit to the Forsaken Graveyard of the Abyssal Woods.
ⓘ Should you choose to defeat the giant imp, use the lever at west side of the room to lighten up the area and lower the platform the imp is sitting on.

Once you have exited the Darklight Catacombs, defeat Jori, Elder Inquisitor, then claim the Forsaken Graveyard Site of Grace

From the Forsaken Graveyard Site of Grace, proceed south until you reach the Woodland Trail Site of Grace. From there, proceed slightly southeast following the dirt path.

The Madding Hand NPC will be found along the dirt path. Defeat this enemy to obtain the Madding Hand weapon.
