Glintstone Dragon Smarag Boss Tips |
---|
Mages can restore their Cerulean Flask charges by killing the Teardrop Scarabs flying around the area. It's important that you steer Smarag away from these scarabs, as its attacks can kill them as well.
Smarag's head, chest, and limbs can be targetted. Constantly shift targets as you move around on horseback to make your shots count.
Glintstone Dragon Smarag Boss Tips |
---|
Smarag can be staggered through constant damage to its limbs, especially its forearms. Smarag will fall down once enough damage has been dealt, leaving his head open for a Critical Attack.
Smarag's large body makes him an easy target of Charged Attacks, even on horseback. Consider a hit-and-run strategy filled with as many charged attacks as possible.
Smarag winds up and flexes its long neck towards its target for a quick bite. This attack is usually done whenever the player is directly underneath it. Always stay on the move to easily avoid this attack.
Smarag slam the front with one of its forearms. Always keep this attack in mind whenever you're positioned in front of it.
Smarag lifts one of its hind legs then slams it on the ground, dealing high damage to anyone caught in the attack. This is another easily dodgable attack as long as you're constantly moving with Torrent
Smarag winds its tail towards one side before flinging it across the other way, dealing high damage and launching the player off Torrent. Rush inward whenever you see Smarag flicks its tail.
Smarag takes flight and hovers above the target for a few seconds before crashing down with its powerful hind legs. Getting hit by this results in death most of the time. Start riding in a diagonal line away from Smarag as soon as it takes flight, then double jump with Torrent as soon as it starts its descent to avoid the attack.
Dragon Breath Variations |
---|
Grounded Dragon Breath: A simple variation that's done while Smarag is grounded. It's fairly easy to dodge with Torrent's double-jump and speed. |
Retreating Dragon Breath: Smarag spews blue flames in a straight line as it flies backwards. Take note that this attack can still track you as long as Smarag's airborne. |
Strafing Dragon Breath: Smarag takes flight, strafing across the area while blue flames in its path. This attack covers a wide area so make sure you watch the flames as you ride Torrent to safety. |
Dragonbolt: Smarag shoots concentrated bolts of blue flames from its mouth towards the target. These homing bolts gain speed overtime, so make sure you have Torrent's double-jump ready once it's close. |
