Elden Ring DLC How to Unlock Map

There are a total of five map fragments to collect in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC of Elden Ring.

No. Map Fragment Location

Gravesite Plain Map Fragment Location
Map: Gravesite Plain
From the Gravesite Plain site of grace, simply head Northeast until you find the map fragment.

Scadu Altus Map Fragment Location
Map: Scadu Altus
There are two paths you can take to reach this map fragment:
1. The main route should take you through Castle Ensis, with a boss fight at the end.
2. The hidden route should take you down a path to poison flowers. Find the spiritspring. It is inactive because it is currently sealed. Find a nearby rock pile surrounded by wind and destroy it to unseal the spiritspring.

Rauh Ruins Map Fragment Location
Map: Rauh Ruins
1. Find the Moorth Ruins site of grace just east of exiting Castle Ensis. From here, head northeast into a tunnel near a large pond and exit out the other end.
2. Follow the left wall, through another cave with lots of giant bird enemies until you reach the Ancient Ruins site of grace.
3. Follow the path westward until you find the map fragment.

Southern Shore Map Fragment Location
Map: Southern Shore
1. From the Castle Front site of grace, head down the sloping path to the south till you find poison flowers.
2. Hug the left wall and keep on heading downward till you find the entrance to the Ellac River Cave. Exit the other end of the cave to find yourself at Ellac River.
3. Follow the river down south, and keep on heading south, down the waterfall, and further south into Cerulean Coast.
4. The map fragment should be just past the Ghostflame Dragon boss fight, which you can run away from.

Abyssal Woods Map Fragment Location
Map: Abyssal Woods
1. From the Main Gate Plaza site of grace inside Shadow Keep, head out the western door. Continue onwards and climb up the wooden stairs to the top, where there is a large dining hall.
2. Exit the other end of the dining hall and keep on heading southeast to the other end of the castle. There should be a ladder that leads down to the water. Enter the room behind the waterfall.
3. When you find a painting, hit the wall to the right to reveal a hidden path that leads to a coffin. Enter the coffin to arrive at the Castle Watering Hole.
4. From there, follow the river downstream until you reach the Recluses' River Downstream site of grace.
5. Go further down along the cliff side and find Darklight Catacombs at the end, which should be to the southeast of the last waterfall.
6. Enter Darklight Catacombs. Defeating the boss grants access to the Abyssal Woods.
7. Continue South until you reach the Abandoned Church, where the map fragment is.

How to Unlock DLC Map

Search for Steles on the Map

Uncovering the map works similarly with the base game. While the map will always be dark when exploring unknown region, the Stele's locations will always have their own marker, which is easily visible when your map is still shaded out.

Search for these steles to look for Maps as you venture and explore the new area. These stone monuments will often have their region's maps next to them for you to collect.
