Start the fight by immediately casting Comet Azur

Once the fight begins, use Terra Magica as Alecto spawns, then launch Comet Azur at her. Due to her low poise, she'll get knocked down repeatedly as you continue casting the spell. While she might eventually cancel it with a ranged attack, you'll immediately deal significant damage and make the rest of the fight easier.

Quick-release spells will be effective for countering Alecto's speed

Aside from the start of the fight, it'll be difficult to hit Alecto with charged spells or attacks with long cast times since her speed lets her easily close down any distance. Use quick-release spells instead to safely deal damage and lessen the risk of getting punished.

Great spells to use would be Glintstone Icecrag and Adula's Moonblade since they also deal Frost damage, which Alecto is weak to.

Use defensive spells

Keep defensive spells ready since Alecto will eventually be able to reach you. They'll give you protection as you reposition away from her. Freezing Mist and Zamor Ice Storm are great for dealing additional damage thanks to their Frost effect, but you can also use Carian Phalanx if you don't have those.

Prioritize using Frost weapons since Alecto takes increased damage from these and you can more quickly cause the Frostbite to build up. If you don't have any, you can also coat your weapon in Freezing Grease.

Despite the nerfs, Hoarfrost Stomp will still be effective against Alecto due to her low poise. Keep using this Ash of War to continuously stagger her and cause Frost damage.

A great opening to look out for is Alecto's Jumping Slam. This has a long enough recovery time that you can get behind her to deal a backstab which deals decent damage.

Dagger Attacks

Dagger Attack Variations
Carving Uppercut: Alecto drags her dagger in the ground before swiping it upwards. Roll in any direction to avoid this.
Lunging Swipe: Alecto closes the distance between you by lunging and swiping at you. She can follow this up with a combo or a dash to the side.
Blade Combo: After dashing to the side, Alecto will lunge at you and start a combo of multiple swipes, ending with a forward pierce. Roll backward as she starts this move and just keep backing away until it ends.
Jumping Slam: Alecto jumps then slams the ground with her dagger. You can roll through the attack as she's mid-air and end up behind her, allowing for an easy backstab.
Grab: Alecto reaches forward to grab you then stabs you, dealing massive damage. Roll to the side or into the grab as she starts leaps forward.
Dagger Shove: Alecto shoves her blade forward twice before spinning and dashing to the side.

Dark Flame Attacks

Dark Flame Attack Variations
Blade Helix: Alecto imbues her dagger with dark flames before jumping and slamming into the ground, creating a whirlwind of slashes. This is important to avoid since it can one-shot you and deals damage over time. Start running away once she starts this move and prepare to roll backward.
Dark Flame Blast: Alecto fires an arc of dark flames at you. Roll to the side to avoid this.
