However, do note that burning the Sealing Tree will lock you out from the NPC questlines of the followers of Miquella. Before burning the Sealing Tree, make sure you've finished the questlines of Leda, Ansbach, Thiollier, Hornsent, Freyja, Moore, and Dane.

Messmer's Kindling is the item required to burn the sealing tree which is only obtainable by defeating Messmer, the Impaler.

2. Defeat Romina to Access the Sealing Tree

After securing Messmer's Kindling, make your way to the Rauh Ruins (starting from the West Rampart site of grace at the bottom of the Shadow Keep). Challenge and defeat Romina, Saint of the Bud at the Church of the Bud to unlock the way to the Sealing Tree.

3. Use Messmer's Kindling to Burn the Sealing Tree

Finally, approach the Sealing Tree to the south of the Church of the Bud via the now unsealed fog gate. Once you're sure you've completed the necessary questlines, use Messmer's Kindling to burn the Sealing Tree and unlock Enir-Ilim.
