Pass Through Fort of Reprimand

You can safely skip Castle Ensis and the Rellana boss fight by passing through a hidden route in the Fort of Reprimand, which can be accessed by a spiritspring southeast of Castle Ensis.

Unseal Spiritspring to Reach Fort of Reprimand

From the Castle Front site of grace, travel southeast until you reach a poison swamp with flower enemies. Then, head east and you will eventually find an inactive spiritspring.

Unseal the spritspring by destroying the nearby rockpile found up on a ledge. Once unsealed, the spiritspring will launch you to a higher area with another spirit spring, which will send you directly to Fort of Reprimand.

Advance NPC Questlines Before Reaching Shadow Keep

Coming too close to Shadow Keep will give you a notification that a great rune has broken somewhere. This is an event that causes a permanent change in the DLC NPCs.

Should You Skip Rellana?

Rellana is an Optional Boss

Since Rellana can be skipped, this makes her an optional boss and not required to complete the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Skipping Rellana doesn't have any negative consequences, and can definitely be done if you're aiming to reach the end as fast as possible.

Skip Rellana to Obtain more Scadutree Fragments

The largest benefit to skipping Rellana is that you can head to Scadu Altus and obtain more Scadutree Fragments to increase your defense and attack power, making Rellana much easier to deal with if you decide to face her later on.

The Remembrance of the Twin Moon Knight can be turned in to Finger Reader Enia at the Roundtable Hold. Doing so lets the player choose either Rellana's Twin Blades (weapon) or Rellana's Twin Moons (sorcery) for their reward.
