Ranged Strategy

Lichdragon Fortissax Boss Tips
Check IconSummon quick Spirit Ashes
Check IconUse large AoE spells
Check IconUse Arrows

Summon quick Spirit Ashes

Despite Fortissax's size, it doesn't deal too much damage if you're fighting it at around the recommended level and has no ability that can one-shot you. Take advantage of this by using quick Spirit Ashes instead of tanky ones.

They'll last the whole fight while being able to attack more often. Great options would be Black Knife Tiche or your Mimic Tear equipped with a melee weapon and Bloodhound's Step.

Use large AoE spells

Lichdragon Fortissax's size makes it easy for you to hit it with AoE spells that deal immense damage. If you have a summon, let it tank the dragon's attacks while you stay at a mid-range distance. Use Terra Magica and cast Comet Azur to drain the Beast's health quickly. Alternative spells would be Night Maiden's Mist or Rennala's Full Moon.

Use Arrows

You can fire arrows at Fortissax's head with arrows. Any damage to the head is increased, so aim for the head as much as possible and do not shoot anywhere else.

Melee Strategy

Lichdragon Fortissax Boss Tips
Check IconAttack Lichdragon Fortissax's Head
Check IconUse Hoarfrost Stomp
Check IconUse weapons with launchable Weapon Skills

Attack Lichdragon Fortissax's Head

As previously stated, attacks to the head will deal increased damage, so try as much as possible to aim there. It's a little more difficult than just attacking the legs, so try using jumping attacks and looking for openings where the head is within reach.

He's weak to Pierce attacks, so using a weapon with Giant Hunt is very helpful in taking him down.

Use Hoarfrost Stomp

Hoarfrost Stomp will deal incredible damage to Fortissax, and its size means you can just spam this and you won't miss. Just remain cautious of its AoE attacks since you can get caught in the middle of casting this.

Use weapons with launchable Weapon Skills

It can be intimidating trying to get near Fortissax due to its numerous AoE spells that can knock you down as you close any distance.

Using weapons such as the Moonveil or the Sword of Night and Flame solves these problems since you can use their weapon skills to attack it from a bit further away, giving you more space to dodge its spells.
