Lamentor's Gaol is found in the Southern Shore region of the Realm of Shadow.

Lamenter's Gaol Entrance

Head northwest from Charo's Hidden Grave Site of Grace through the water area with the Gravebirds until you reach a cave entrance with an opened iron gate. This is the entrance to Lamenter's Gaol.

Lamenter's Gaol Walkthrough

#	Lamenter's Gaol Walkthrough
1	At the start of the dungeon, you will encounter a locked gate and three open rooms you can loot from. The key to the locked gate can be found in the room before the narrow bridge.
2	Obtain the Gaol Upper Level Key and open the locked gate to progress through the dungeon. Climb down the ladder and you will see an icy room with Living Jar Innards walking around.
3	To progress further, head to the elevated room and keep going until you fall through the floor. Before you do that, you can explore and loot the area, most notably the Chilling Perfume Bottle in the room closest to the ladder.
4	Exit the room where you fell off and climb up two flights of stairs to reach the next room. Explore all the other rooms in the area for loot.
5	Jump through the rocks to reach the big room with the Living Jars. Head to the southwestern part of the room to find a chest containing the Gaol Lower Level Key. You will have to fight through Living Jars to reach it.
6	Once you have the key, head back to where you came from to the area with the stairs outside the room where you fell. Go up one flight of stairs to reach the room at the top of the stairs.
7	Continue through the room and it will lead you to a room filled with jars. Open the locked gate in the room using the key and continue until you find a ladder going down.
8	Climb down the ladder to see the fog that leads to the dungeon boss. Here you will fight the Lamenter to clear the dungeon.

Gaol Upper Level Key Location

The Gaol Upper Level Key is a Key item that can be found on a chest inside the room just before the thin bridge at the start of the dungeon. Head back to the locked gate at the beginning to progress further into the dungeon.

Gaol Lower Level Key Location

The Gaol Lower Level Key can be found on a chest in the room full of Living Jars. After unlocking the first gate, head for the room above and progress up the top of the stairs to find the Living Jar room. The Gaol Lower Level Key can be used to open a gate behind a hidden wall.

Lamenter's Gaol Hidden Wall

To find the hidden wall, start from where you descend from a ladder after opening the Upper Level door. From here, head for the elevated doorway and into the room where you fall through the floor. Exit the room where you fall and head up the stairs to the next doorway where you can find the hidden illusory wall.

Obtain Chilling Perfume Bottle

The Chilling Perfume Bottle is one of the new Perfume Bottle weapon types introduced in the Elden Ring DLC. This scales very well with Dexterity/Intelligence users and can apply frost buildup.

Obtain Clarifying Horn Charm +2

Clarifying Horn Charm +2 is a new talisman that vastly raises focus. Focus is a stat that affects your sleep and madness resistance, making it harder for enemies to proc them on you.

Obtain Lamenter's Mask

The Lamenter's Mask is a Reusable Item that transforms you into a lamenter and enlarges your head. This is dropped by the Lamenter after defeating him at the end of the dungeon.

Keep in mind that using this item requires you to remove all your armor and transforms you permanently until you die.

Defeat the Lamenter

The Lamenter is a straightforward optional boss that can summon multiple clones of himself. Defeat him to obtain the reusable item, Lamenter's Mask. There are no NPC summons you can use for this boss fight.
