Demi-Human Queen Marigga Weakness

Weak to Slash Damage

Demi-Human Queen Marigga takes increased Slash damage, compared to the other three types of physical damage. This makes Slash moveset weapons that are either DEX-leaning, such as the Backhand Blades, or STR-leaning, like the Greatsword of Solitude, excellent armaments of choice versus Marigga.

List of Slash Weapons

Lightning and Fire Damage is Effective

In our damage tests, Lightning and Fire damage are good elements to use in this fight, the former due to the persistent rain in the area which amplifies Lightning damage, and the latter due to still being a natural Weakness of Demi-Humans even when mitigated by the rain.

The Fire Knight's Greatsword is one good and accesssible weapon for this fight due to its Slash damage moveset, STR/DEX scaling, and inherent Fire damage. Applying Fire damage will interrupt Marigga's Demi-Human minions. Meanwhile, spellcasters can use Fire type spells like Flame Sling on top of regular lightning, magic, or high-damage physical spells like Pest-Thread Spears.

Susceptible to Poison

Using Poison on Demi-Human Queen Marigga is also effective. If you have invested a lot into the ARC stat, the Poisoned Hand found in Belurat Tower Settlement can usually proc poison in 1-2 casts with its skill Poison Spear-Hand Strike. The Serpentbone Blade is an alternative Slash weapon for applying posion if you have invested into DEX.

When casting spells, you can use Poison Mist for applying poison buildup on Marigga. When using a bow, use Poisonbone Arrows with Rancor Shot to easily proc poison from afar.

Best Build for Demi-Human Queen Marigga

Slash Weapons are Recommended

Elden Ring - Backhand BladeBackhand Blade
Skill: Blind Spot
Elden Ring - MiladyMilady
Skill: Wing Stance
Elden Ring - Fire KnightFire Knight's Greatsword
Skill: Savage Lion's Claw

Demi-Human Queen Marigga is weak to Slash damage. Use Lightning infusion for DEX weapons such as the Backhand Blade or the Milady since the rain reduces her Lightning damage resistance.

You can also use the Fire Knight's Greatsword or infuse any other weapon with fire for additional fire damage. Fire serves as a good crowd control option in this area since Marigga's regular Demi-Human minions are interrupted when hit by Fire attacks.

For Talismans, you will want to have the Shard of Alexander for boosting the damage of your weapon skills, and then either the Two-Handed Sword Talisman for two-handing weapons or the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia or similar (like Millicent's Prosthesis) for a damage boost to successive hits from faster weapons.

Use Ranged Spells to Deal Damage

For spellcasters, use ranged spells such as the incantations Flame Sling or Lightning Spear, or the sorcery Great Glintstone Shard for Demi-Human Queen Marigga.

For casting status ailments, you can use the incantations Poison Mist for applying Poison or Ekzykes's Decay for Scarlet Rot. Equip the Primal Glintstone Blade if you wish to reduce FP spell consumption when you are purely casting spells.

Demi-Human Queen Marigga General Tips

Tips for Demi-Human Queen Marigga

Clear the Surrounding Demi-Humans

Demi-Human Queen Marigga mobs

If you head straight for Marigga, she will howl and alert the surrounding demi-human mobs to get them to swarm you. Go around the beach first to slowly eliminate the mobs without alerting Marigga, so that no one will be able to help Marigga during your actual fight with her.

Stay Close to Force Melee Attacks

Marigga is capable of both ranged magic and physical heavy attacks, but will stick to her highly telegraphed melee moveset if you stay close to her. Force out easily dodgeable attacks by staying in melee range and constantly moving around her.

Fight Magic with Magic

Even though Demi-Human Queen Marigga can use magic, she is still vulnerable to even the most basic Glintstone sorceries. You can deal high damage with magic spells or infusions.

On the defensive side, you can even use consumables such as the Spellproof Dried Liver to reduce her spell damage and weigh the sorcery duel heavily in your favor.
