Frenzied Duelist can be found at the Gaol Cave in Caelid, near the Astray from Caelid Highway North Site of Grace.

Get behind Frenzied Duelist by rolling through his attacks

Frenzied Duelist has slow but wide-reaching attacks. Fortunately, he'll only be targeting his front, so you can deal plenty of damage if you successfully get behind him.

Take advantage of his slow attacks and roll through them, his kick will be particularly easy to dodge and you can roll underneath him during that move.

Wait for openings before attacking this boss

This boss' size and sluggish movements can make it tempting to aggressively strike him. However, he isn't easily staggered so he'll be able to hit you even through your attacks. Be patient and wait for openings to counterattack since he has a long recovery period after combos.

Be careful about attacking too early since his combos can last up to 6 hits.

Equip gear that boosts your physical damage resistance

Frenzied Duelist will only use his axe to deal damage, which will all be physical. Equipping gear that boosts this will greatly help in this fight. The Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman will be particularly effective.

As a human boss, Frenzied Duelist will be vulnerable to most Status Effects, but he's especially weak to Bleed, Frost, and Poison. Slash weapons will also deal additional damage.

If you don't have the aforementioned weapon types, you can also coat yours in Blood Grease, Freezing Grease, or Poison Grease.
