An Ancient Hero of Zamor is imprisoned in the Weeping Evergaol east of the Fourth Church of Marika in the Weeping Peninsula and requires 1 Stonesword Key to access.

Fight at Level 40+

The Ancient Hero of Zamor's delayed attacks and its ability to inflict the frost status makes it a challenging boss in the early game. Get your character to at least Level 40 with enough vigor and attacking stats invested so that you can deal as much damage to the boss.

Sainted Hero's Grave

An Ancient Hero of Zamor is the boss of the Sainted Hero's Grave located in the Altus Plateau.

The entrance of the catacombs is guarded by a Black Knife Assassin which you need to defeat to access the catacombs.

Fight at Level 80+

The Sainted Hero's Grave is a very difficult dungeon filled with strong enemies that also require an extra mechanic to damage, and the boss itself is also significantly stronger than its weaker counterpart in the Weeping Evergoal.

Get your character to at least Level 80 and above with sufficiently upgraded weapons and flasks so that you can survive the dungeon and take on the boss.

An Ancient Hero of Zamor is the boss of the Giant-Conquering Hero's Grave located in the Mountaintops of the Giants.

Fight at Level 100+

Like the Sainted Hero's Grave, the Giant-Conquering Hero's Grave is a very difficult dungeon filled with strong enemies and with a similar mechanic to actually damage them.

Get your character to at least Level 100 with a fully upgraded weapon so that you can survive the dungeon and deal as much damage to the boss as possible.

Use Fire Weapons and Incantations

The Ancient Hero of Zamor is very weak against fire weapons and incantations that deal this damage can easily take out a chunk of its HP with just a few strikes of casts.

Catch Flame is a very useful incantation against as the spell comes out fast and it's possible to stagger the boss if you cast it repeatedly. For the later bosses, Flame of the Fell God is a good choice thanks since the orb follows the boss even if it evades the initial cast.

For non-incantation players, any fast weapon infused with Fire or Flame Art Ash of War will deal a lot of damage to the boss. The Flame of the Redmanes Ash of War, in particular, is very effective as it can stagger the boss in just three hits of the skill.

Use Night Sorceries

For intelligence-based spellcasters, it's best to use Night Sorceries agains the Ancient Hero of Zamor as it's good at dodging spells. Spells like Ambush Shard, Night Shard, and Night Comet will always hit since the boss can't evade them.

Stagger with Jumping Attacks

All three Ancient Hero of Zamor are very easy to stagger especially with jumping attacks. Very heavy weapons such as greatswords and colossal weapons can even interrupt their own attacks when you use a jumping attack against them.

Use Spirit Ashes to Summon Spirits

As the boss is very easy to stagger, summoning aggressive and heavy-hitting spirits such as the Banished Knights Oleg and Engvall, as well as Battlemage Hughes can make the two bosses a trivial fight.

Another effective spirit ash to use against the Ancient Hero of Zamor is the Radahn Soldier Ashes. While these two spirits are less tanky, they are extremely aggressive and use fire weapons and skills that can quickly deplete the boss' HP when sufficiently upgraded.

Ancient Hero of Zamor Attack Patterns

Evasive Hops

Ancient Hero of Zamor can hop in any cardinal direction consecutively at a moment's notice. Make sure you reposition accordingly as it can easily chain into any attack.

Ice Attacks

Ice Attack Variations
Avalanche: Ancient Hero of Zamor conjures an avalanche that hits anyone in a wide cone in front of it. It's fairly easy to dodge since the attack takes a while to reach its maximum distance.
Chill Winds: Ancient Hero of Zamor conjures an icy whirlwind that damages anyone and applies Frostbite within range.

Sword Attacks

Take note that Ancient Hero of Zamor's sword gets imbued with frost damage once it drops to 50% hp or lower. Attacks with its sword can inflict Frostbite at this point.

Sword Attack Variations
Leaping Slash: Ancient Hero of Zamor jumps towards its target, performing a spinning slash at the end of it's trajectory. It tends to float in the air for a while, making it possible to react and dodge accordingly.
Heavy Sweep Combo: A move that's mostly done once Ancient Hero of Zamor's sword is imbued with frost. The combo starts with a heavy spin, followed by an incredibly fast dash towards the target. Hold your ground and dodge or block as soon as Ancient Hero springs forward from her position.
Triple Slash: Ancient Hero of Zamor performs a quick Leaping Slash towards the target, followed up by two consecutive spinning slashes on the ground where it lands. It's easy for Ancient Hero of Zamor to overshoot this attack, so try timing your dodge inward during the first strike.
