How to Get Into Ruins of Unte

You can enter the Ruins of Unte by throwing a Hefty Furnace Pot into the sleeping Furnace Golem in the Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree. Learn how to get a Hefty Furnace Pot, and how to wake up the Furnace Golem in order to enter the Ruins of Unte.

How to Get Into Ruins of Unte

The Ruins of Unte has an entrance that is blocked off by an inactive Furnace Golem. Follow these steps to awaken the golem and enter the Ruins of Unte:

1. Obtain Greater Potentate's Cookbook (2)
2. Craft a Hefty Furnace Pot
3. Head to Castle Watering Hole Site of Grace
4. Throw Pot Into Furnace Golem
5. Head Inside to Obtain Giant Golden Arc

1. Obtain Greater Potentate's Cookbook [2]

First of all, you will need to obtain the Greater Potentate's Cookbook [2] at Run-Down Traveler's Rest, which can be found close to the Ellac Greatbridge.

2. Craft a Hefty Furnace Pot

x1 Redflesh Mushroom	x1 Ember of Messmer	x1 Furnace Visage

The Greater Potentate's Cookbook [2] will allow you to craft a Hefty Furnace Pot, which you will need later on to wake up a sleeping Furnace Golem.

Redflesh Mushrooms can be easily found everywhere in the Realm of Shadow. Embers of Messmer can be found mainly in Scadu Altus. Furnace Visages are dropped by Furnace Golems but a couple can be found in Run-Down Traveler's Rest.

3. Head to Castle Watering Hole Site of Grace

To get into Ruins of Unte, you need to progress through Shadow Keep and find the path that leads to the Abyssal Woods.

Head to the eastern side of the castle, where there will be a ladder that leads down to the water. Enter the room behind the waterfall and hit the illusory wall near the painting to reveal a path to a hidden coffin. Interact with the coffin to access the Castle Watering Hole.

4. Throw Pot Into Furnace Golem

Equip the Hefty Furnace Pot in your items slot, find a high ledge close to the inactive Furnace Golem, then throw the Hefty Furnace Pot into the head of the golem, causing it to awaken.

Feel free to defeat or ignore the golem. Defeating it drops a Bloodsucking Cracked Tear.

5. Head Inside to Obtain Giant Golden Arc

Waking up the Furnace Golem will allow you access past the entrance it was blocking. Head inside and grab the Giant Golden Arc, an offensive Incantation.
