Star-Lined Sword Location

Note: The Star-Lined Sword is only available if you own the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.

Dropped by Demi-Human Queen Marigga at the Cerulean Coast

The Star-Lined Sword is obtained by defeating Demi-Human Queen Marigga, who can be found next to a large beached coffin at the end of a ravine, in the northwest section of the Cerulean Coast.

How to Get the Star-Lined Sword
1
From the Castle Front site of grace in front of Castle Ensis, follow the road slightly southeast until you reach the cliffside.
2
Carefully descend the bat-infested cliffs to reach the bottom of the gorge, where a Giant Crab and Miranda Bloom are.
3
Enter the cave found at the bottom of the gorge, which is right behind the giant Miranda Bloom. Continue until you reach the Ellac River Cave Site of Grace.
3
From the Ellac River Cave, continue south along the Ellac river, staying on the ledges to the sides to avoid falling, until you eventually reach the Ellac River Downstream site of grace.
4
From the Ellac River Downstream site of grace, drop down from the top of the waterfall to the forest area using the rock formations.
5
Once you're in the forest area with the Furnace Golem, continue south while sticking to the right wall. The Cerulean Coast Site of Grace will be after the grove of trees.
6
Ride west from the Cerulean Coast site of grace until you see the ravine entrance noted in Step 6.
7
While riding west, stop when you see a ravine entrance along the cliffside, marked by two beached coffins on its sides.
8
Enter the ravine and navigate it, hugging the left side until you see the west side exit, which will lead you to the coast where Marigga is located.
9
After exiting the ravine, you will see Demi-Human Queen Marigga next to the beached coffin on the coast, surrounded by demi-humans. Defeat her to get the Star-Lined Sword.

Star-Lined Sword vs Moonveil

Star-Lined Sword is Better for DEX-INT Melee Builds

The Star-Lined Sword is very similar to Moonveil due to its split magic damage and innate bleed buildup. However, they differ in that the Star-Lined Sword is friendlier to use for melee-oriented DEX-INT builds, thanks to its melee Ash of War, Onze's Line of Stars, and its highest stat scaling being DEX.

Moonveil is Better for INT-DEX Ranged Skill Spam Builds

Compared to the Star-Lined Sword, Moonveil is still better for INT-DEX ranged builds due to INT being its highest scaling stat, and because its skill, Transient Moonlight, relies on ranged waves of light to deal damage.
