Ambush Shard is a sorcery spell that allows one to launch a projectile that strikes enemies from behind. This sorcery can be used repeatedly without delay after performing a subsequent cast.

How to Get Ambush Shard

Located at Witchbane Ruins

Found underneath the Witchbane Ruins, south of Limgrave. You can obtain the Ambush Shard spell from the corpse near where Sorceress Sellen's's body is shackled.

Used Against Dodging Enemies

If you're having problems dealing with enemies who like to dodge every spell you throw at them, you can use night sorceries to counteract that, as this spell type does not trigger enemy dodges. This works on every enemy and is very effective when fighting those that actively avoid your spells, especially against invaders and fast-moving bosses.

A prime example of where you should use this spell is when fighting against Malenia, Blade of Miquella, as she's known to evade a lot of spells, making you waste your FP against her.

Best Used Against Enemies Using Shields

Ambush Shard is best used against enemies hiding behind their shield as the projectile hits them from the back.

Ambush Foes in PvP

As Ambush Shard hits opponents from the back, it's best used against unsuspecting opponents in PvP as they will most likely not notice the projectile coming from behind them.
