The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Out Now!
Bethesda Confirms No Mod Support for Oblivion Remastered

Bethesda recently concluded its official reveal livestream for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered and within it, announced that the game is now available. The developers showcased the game’s major improvements compared to its original release. However, fans may be disappointed by the fact that it will not have support for mods.
According to Bethesda’s support page on its website, Oblivion Remastered will not have official mod support. They gave no reason for this decision, which is shocking considering Bethesda has given huge support to the modding scene, releasing official modding tools or Creation Kits for its games, such as Fallout 4, Skyrim, and Starfield.
Despite this, fans are still trying to get their mods in using the old Creation Kit used for the original game. Currently, mods are working fine with the game. Over on Reddit, modders are sharing their experiences on how they will navigate modding in the remaster, considering it now runs on Unreal Engine 5.
Oblivion Remastered on VR

Despite not having official mod support, fans have tried playing Oblivion Remastered on VR using UEVR 3 hours after its launch. UEVR is a mod tool used to transform games to be playable using VR tech. Earlier today, YouTuber LunchAndVR posted on their channel a video showing Oblivion Remastered being played in VR. The video is described as "very early tests" of the game in VR with UEVR and motion controls.
The playthrough seemed fine, running at 70 fps on his setup at medium graphics with DLSS on a GeForce RTX 4090 and Intel Core i9-13900 with 64GB RAM. This could indicate that with a few more tweaks and adjustments, Oblivion Remastered could perform well on VR.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S (available on Xbox Game Pass), and PC. To stay up to date with the latest information about the game, check out our article below!

The game offers the full Oblivion experience, including previous expansion packs Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine, to the base game, as well as additional downloadable content. For more information about its pre-order and DLC options, check out our article below!
