Flame of the Fell God is an incantation which summons a large, slow-moving ball of flame that pursues your target. Upon hit or after traveling a certain distance, the ball of flame explodes in an AoE, setting its impact site on fire. Enemies hit by the explosion may also be knocked down.

How to Use Flame of the Fell God

Used to Zone Enemies in PvP

As a spellcaster, half the battle is keeping your enemies at a distance while you prep your spells. Flame of the Fell God can help out as it is a good zoning PvP incantation that tracks enemy movement quite well.

However, the biggest downside is that its explosion is pretty easy to dodge, so don't expect anything other than zoning from this incantation. Additionally, use it only if you have a decent FP pool to draw from.

Good Crowd Control for Static Groups

In PvE, static groups of enemies are the perfect target for this slow moving projectile. Not only does Flame of the Fell God do good damage when it hits, the knockback it inflicts buys you time to pick off opponents one by one. As an added bonus, enemy AI tend to eat up the damage, only dodging the initial cast but not the explosion afterwards.

Damage is Boosted by the Giant's Seal

Players can boost the damage of the Flame of the Fell God by equipping the Giant's Seal. Since the best Faith-scaling seal is the Erdtree Seal, wield the Giant's Seal in your off-hand while casting with your primary seal to boost Flame of the Fell God's damage.

Since the seal's buff effect is passive, it is not necessary to upgrade your Giant's Seal unless you will be using it as your primary casting seal.
