A Nameless Mystery is a priority quest in Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred (D4) that unlocks the mercenary Aldkin when completed. See how to unlock the A Nameless Mystery quest, a list of quest objectives, rewards, and a complete walkthrough.

Interact with the Archive of Kuo Chosah beside Raheir at The Den in Nahantu to start the quest. A small note will appear once clicked, and the quest will be added to your journal afterwards.

 Follow the quest marker and enter the Covert Passage. Head deeper inside and you'll find a Mysterious Demon that runs away when it sees you. |

 Fight off the ambushing demons and pick up the Ragged Toy after all enemies have been defeated. |
| 3 |
 Continue chasing after the Mysterious Demon. You will encounter multiple elite mobs so be careful not to get overwhelmed. |

 When you arrive in Chosah Manor, duck under the fallen tree and enter the Abandoned Ruin. |
| 5 |
 Destroy the vines blocking the way and proceed into the room. Investigate the objects until you are ambushed by another mob of enemies. |

 Defeat Vilnuus the Hunter and the rest of the enemies. Inspect the Partially Burned Letter again to trigger a cutscene. |
| 7 |
 Return to the Den and speak to Raheir. Aldkin will then settle in his own corner in the Den and you'll be able to hire him as a mercenary moving forward. |
Completing A Nameless Mystery unlocks Aldkin, allowing you to recruit him as a mercenary. Aldkin is able to shapeshift and cast potent spells from afar.
