Scarlet Aeonia Lore

Lore Description
"Technique of Malenia, the Goddess of Rot.

Creates a gigantic flower that blooms into an explosion of scarlet rot.

Each time the scarlet flower blooms, Malenia's rot advances. It has bloomed twice already. With the third bloom, she will become a true goddess."

Scarlet Aeonia is a Servants of Rot Incantation that grants the user the ability to create a giant flower that explodes and causes the buildup of Scarlet Rot. The explosion from the bloom animation can send enemies flying.

How to Get Scarlet Aeonia

Defeat Malenia, Goddess of Rot

To be able to get the Scarlet Aeonia incantation you must first defeat Malenia, Blade of Miquella at Miquella's Haligtree. After defeating her you should be able to obtain the Remembrance of the Rot Goddess. Convert this remembrance for the incantation or Hand of Malenia katana though Enia at the Roundtable Hold.

Elden Ring - Used to Apply Scarlet Rot in wide AoE
This Incantation can be effectively used to inflict Scarlet Rot in a wide area against multiple enemies in just one casting. The majority of the damage dealt by Scarlet Aeonia comes from the bloom animation and foes that are inside the flower will quickly buildup Scarlet Rot. The Kindred of Rot's Exultation is a good talisman to pair with Scarlet Aeonia as it increases both your melee damage and spell damage by 20% when Scarlet Rot is applied in the vicinity.

The Incantation takes a long time to cast and leaves you exposed to attacks while you are suspended in the air. Equipping the Radagon Icon talisman will decrease the casting time of the spell and while it does increase your Poise, a strong attack or two can interrupt you out of the animation. Additionally, hitting an enemy that is blocking with a Greatshield will cancel the Incantation.
