Uchigatana Location, Stats, and Scaling

Uchigatana is a Katana in Elden Ring that scales with Strength and Dexterity. Read on to learn how to get the Uchigatana, as well as its location, description, upgrades, stat requirements, and best Ashes of War.

Uchigatana Location

Found in the Deathtouched Catacombs

The Uchigatana can be looted from a corpse inside the Deathtouched Catacombs in Limgrave. The corpse will be on the balcony above the large room leading to the boss room lever.

How to Get the Uchigatana
1
From the site of grace, head down and turn left after the first room. In this room with the Grave Gloveworts, turn right to find a larger room.
2
Go to the room on the other side and pull the lever to unlock the door to the boss room. This will also unlock a small door tucked within the previous room with the Grave Gloveworts.
3
Go to the previous room and enter this newly opened doorway.
4
Past the narrow path, turn left to reach the platform where the Skeleton Archers are. The Uchigatana will be on the hanging corpse on the ledge.

Starter Weapon for the Samurai Class

The Samurai Class will also have an Uchigatana as one of its starting items. Do note that you will only be able to pick out a class when you first start a New Game save.

Uchigatana Ashes of War

Uchigatana Best Ashes of War

Best Uchigatana Ashes of War
: UnsheatheAsh of War: Unsheathe : BloodhoundAsh of War: Bloodhound's Step

The best ashes of war to infuse the Uchigatana with are Bloodhound's Step, and Unsheathe, its default skill.

Bloodhound's Step is a great choice if you prefer an evasive skill as it covers more distance than a regular dodge roll and makes you invisible for the duration, which means enemies will lose track of you for a moment when used during their combos.

Unsheathe, on the other hand, is for those who want to hit harder (and look cooler) with their slashes. Its follow up attack deals more poise damage, making it easier to break stances and land critical hits, and can be boosted further with the Shard of Alexander.
