How to Use the Interactive Map

The Interactive Map both shows the location of key points on the map, and doubles as a collectible checker.

1. Click an icon on the right side to show all the pins of a specific type, or click the magnifying glass button to search for a specific pin by name.
2. Click a pin on the map to see its name and description, and a relevant picture or video if available.
3. From here, click Mark as Acquired to indicate that you've gotten a collectible already. This will change its icon on the map to show that it has been collected, and add 1 to that pin type's Counter.
4. To undo this, click on the same pin and click Restore to unclaimed.
5. To check how many pins you have marked so far, check the Counter in the bottom left, and click the icon that looks like a checklist to see counters for all pin types.
6. If the collected pins start to get in the way, you can hide them all by clicking the green Show Pins button on the left side.

Icon	How to Use
	Show Names This button reveals the Name of every icon currently shown.
	Show Pins This button will toggle between showing and hiding all the pins which you have already marked as acquired.
	Fullscreen This button will change the map display to fill the screen.
	Search Mode Toggle This button will display a searchbar which you can use to search for an individual pin by its name.
	Icon Mode Toggle In Search Mode, this button will toggle you back to Icon Mode, removing the search bar and displaying the icons again.
	All Pins This button is shown along with the Icons on the right when there are over 6 types of pins. Click it for a full selection of all available pin types.
	Counter Tracks the number of pins you have of a certain type. The pin type shown is set to the page and currently cannot be changed; however, all pin type counters can be viewed by clicking the checklist icon on the right side.
	View All Counters This icon is found on the right side of the Counter. When a map has more than one pin type, click this icon to see Counters for all pin types.
	Zoom In / Zoom Out This icon is found on the top left side of the map. You can press these buttons, or use your scroll wheel while hovering, to Zoom In and Out of the interactive map.

The Somberstone Miner's Bell Bearing 4 can be obtained beside the Tempest Facing Balcony Site of Grace in Crumbling Farum Azula. This area is accessed by burning the Erdtree from the Forge of the Giants in the Mountaintops of the Giants.

Somberstone Miner's Bell Bearing 4 unlocks the Somber Smithing Stone 8, Somber Smithing Stone 7, and Sanctuary Stone as purchasable items from the Twin Maiden Husks.

Outside of Ruined Forge of Starfall Past

There are two Scarabs hanging around the pillars outside of the Ruined Forge of Starfall Past that each drop a Somber Smithing Stone 8.

The first is hiding in the tall grass between a pillar and a large rubble near the misbegottens gathered on the hill. The other Scarab is hanging from one of the pillars south of the Ruined Forge's entrance.

A Somber Smithing Stone 8 can be obtained in a room full of Bloodfiends below the Viaduct Minor Tower.

Head southeast from the Viaduct Minor Tower Site of Grace and go down the lift. This lift drops down to a hallway which leads to a room full of Bloodfiends. The Somber Smithing Stone 8 can be pillaged from a corpse in one of the room's corners.

The earliest Somber Smithing Stone 8 you can obtain is from a Scarab located in Dragonbarrow in Caelid. This Scarab can be found on a large protruding tree root between the Dragonbarrow West and the Divine Tower of Caelid.

Once you can access Leyndell, Royal Capital, another early Somber Smithing Stone 8 can be obtained in the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds.

From the Underground Roadside, drop down the open drainage grate to the northeast and enter the pipe maze. Then, head straight without falling from the holes in the ground and turn right to the open gate. Continue heading straight until you reach a room with an omen guarding the top of the ladder. The Somber Smithing Stone 8 is in the center of this room.

Two Obtained in the Lake of Rot

There are two other early Somber Smithing Stone 8 you can obtain in the Lake of Rot in Ainsel River. One can be obtained at the northern edge of the Lake of Rot, while the other is on the ruins to the southeast of the lake.

You can reach this area from Nokstella, Eternal City, which can also be accessed through multiple ways. You can reach this area through a portal in Renna's Rise by progressing Ranni's Quest.

Another route to Nokstella and the Lake of Rot is through a coffin in Deeproot Depth, which, in turn, can be accessed through a hidden wall at the very bottom of the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds or a coffin at the end of the Valiant Gargoyles boss arena.

The first Somber Smithing Stone 8 is found in a room after dropping from the first hole on the floor in the Yelough Anix Tunnel and then crossing the ravine. Climb the ladders in this room, and the next one will be in one of the corners of the room where the Alabaster Lord spawns.
