Crystalian has very high defenses, but can take damage from a striking weapon (a hammer or morningstar, for example), so leave your sword at home.

After taking the second lift down, walk across the narrow beam to the next room. Check the second storage room on the right. The Crystal Knife is being guarded in a chest by several enemies.

Obtain Shatter Earth Sorcery

Continue from the room where you got the Crystal Knife. Head down the steps to the room on the north. In the alcove on the right you can find a glowing light containing the Shatter Earth Sorcery.
